We are very pleased to confirm that the next Digital Preservation Training Programme will take place 6-8 March 2013 at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London.

The DPC is providing scholarships to attend and applications are invited from DPC members. Further details are available here.

Course logistics


Each day of the course usually starts at 10.00 AM and finishes around 17:00. We aim to finish earlier on the final day (around 16:00).

What to bring

You will be provided with a workbook where you can write notes, but we recommend that you bring a notebook along as well (scrap paper is needed for various exercises and tests).

You are free to bring your laptop / iPad / netbook if you wish. You won’t need it for the course, but some people prefer to take notes by laptop. WiFi is available in the venue, but you will have to pay for a one-day token if you want it.

SOAS is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from Russell Square tube station.


The cost of the course is £650 excluding VAT. .
Please complete the booking form even if you cannot pay immediately. Cascading cancellation fees will be charged: 75% reimbursement if cancellation received 3 weeks prior to course, 50% if 2 weeks and 25% if 1 week.
